Green Bin: Plants & Pots Contribution Program

Do you have plants or supplies to donate?

Do you have any extra plants, pots or supplies which need a new home? Put them to heartwarming use with our Green Bin Program. Our goal is to help connect plants and people together, while helping to improve our Calgary community.

Plants and supplies contributed to Plants for a Purpose will be utilized in one or more of the following purposes:

  • Delivered to vulnerable populations, such as those in supportive living or recovery
  • In workshops and community gatherings to raise awareness for Plants for a Purpose
  • In the day-to-day operations of Plants for a Purpose
  • On our online and in-person fundraising efforts, where 25% of sales gathered goes towards the selected charity of choice for that quarterly period

We are gratefully accepting contributions of any of the following:

  • Living indoor or outdoor plants
  • Cuttings or propagations
  • Seedlings
  • Seeds
  • Pots
  • Trays
  • Potting mix or growing mediums
  • Fertilizer
  • Lighting
  • Shelving
  • and more, just let us know what you have in mind

Please contact us to arrange for a drop-off or pick up of items. Your surplus plants, pots and supplies will find a loving new purpose where they'll make a real difference. Thank you for joining us in planting the seeds of kindness together!
